Dear PAACE Member,
Would you like to attend the 2019 PAACE conference but don’t have the funds? Thanks to a $15,000 Dollar General Literacy Foundation Grant, which PAACE Organizational Coordinator Sharon Bonney applied for, scholarships are now available for attending the 2019 conference. To apply for funding, please visit the link below. Increasing PAACE revenue, through sources such as the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, is high on the Board’s priority list so that opportunities such as conference attendance scholarships can be made available to the field. Please forward the scholarship information to others who may be interested as well.
PAACE is moving forward with a comprehensive, new strategic plan which will be unveiled to PAACE members through a Zoom online meeting scheduled for August 23 at 1:00 p.m. Please mark the date on your calendars. Your input, through survey responses and informal conversations, laid the groundwork for our discussions regarding vision, mission, core values, and strategic priorities. The Strategic Plan will provide board members with clear goals and action steps to propel PAACE into a whole new world of professional development, advocacy, and networking. The plan is a living document, so we are looking for your input as we develop and achieve our goals throughout the 3-year plan. Do you feel the need for more opportunities to network with job-alike individuals across the state? Do you think adult education needs additional state and federal money to remain effective? Are you looking for professional development opportunities not currently offered through the statewide PD system? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then join the unveiling of the strategic plan as we describe our goals for the next 3 years. I’m looking forward to seeing you, via Zoom, on August 23rd at 1:00 p.m.
